Literacy Camp Day

We had a great day reading books under our desks, playing vocabulary building games, writing letters, doing science experiments, math, art, and making s'mores. Everything was done with a camp theme. We usually set up big tents in the gym, but due to Corona, things had to be a bit different this year. We still had a lot of fun!
June 2020 Art Fair!
All students participated this year in our first New Life International Elementary and Junior High School Art Fair! The artwork was amazing! Here are just a few examples.

Beach Day!
On Friday, July 10, we dressed for the beach with flowery clothes, sunglasses, and sandals. Everything we did on this day had a beach theme: We listened to Hawaiin and Beach Boy songs, played ukuleles, and all subjects, science, math, and language arts had a beach theme. This was a great day for fun and learning!

Summer School

NLIS offers a one-week summer school from 9 to 3, July 26-30. Bible, reading, math, science, art, and physical education are done in the mornings all in English, then the children eat box lunches (from home) and enjoy lots of fun, exciting activities in the afternoon until 3:00. This is planned for the summer of 2021, depending on the circumstances of the virus.
