Good News Concerning the 1/2 Grade Class!

As soon as I heard about the covid case in the 1/2 graders' classroom, I felt it was necessary to inform you about it. I applied the rules that were previously followed, but Aiko-san finally heard from the Yamanashi Health Center just now (Saturday, 9:00 pm) concerning our 1/2 graders’ class, and the rules have changed. They said that only the sick child and any family member of the child must stay home for 10 days. However, no other students have to stay at home. The class does not need to close since we are following all the rules of social distance, i.e., windows open, masks, and washing our hands. We will have class as normal on Monday! Yeah!

If any parent feels uncomfortable with his or her child coming to the 1/2 graders' class on Monday, you may have your child stay at home. The Health Center wants us to be extra careful for the next ten days, but believes that the chance of infection now is not high. Please continue to watch your child carefully for the next few days, and if he or she exhibits any symptoms, please go to a doctor right away, and do not have your child come to school.

I hope to see you all, healthy and well, on Monday.
