T-shirts are being sold now! If any are interested, please see your child's teacher or the secretaries. Our students created the original design and the student is selling these for ¥1800 each. This is a fundraiser for the future high school building. Each shirt earns 400 yen for the building.
New Life International School is growing and looking for a future building! We are growing out of our present buildings and our secondary students will need another building in the near future. We are asking for help in finding a good place to purchase or rent for our junior high and high school students. To help pay for this need, the students will have fundraisers, work in flea markets, and sell original t-shirts, but we need more help! Please see below the specifics of the building needs.
Building Goals:
-
Three or more rooms that are at least 18-20 tatami mats (36 square meters) for classrooms
-
An extra 10-mat (or 16.5 square meters) room for Japanese classes and other support classes
-
A 5 or 6-mat room for storage
-
At least 3 separate toilet areas
-
A kitchen
-
Walking distance to a park or a large field for sports
-
Preferably within a 25-minute walk from our school
-
At least 5 parking places, or a parking area close by
-
A bicycle parking area
Capital is needed to purchase or rent the above.
Please contact the school if you can help us in any way with getting a building. If you know of a building that might fit our needs, please tell us!
A loving parent started a fundraising site for this goal. If you would like to help, please see the link: https://fundrazr.com/newlifehigh?ref=ab_5AzGK5
Note: No parent is ever asked or required to donate to the school. This is only for those who desire to help us with this need.
New Life International School (NLIS) is sponsored by New Life International Church, a Protestant evangelical church located in the same building. NLIS students do not need to attend any church or be Christians to be enrolled in our school. Please read the site "Christian Education" to understand more fully how we teach.
