NLIS provides the following:
  • all-English education from kindergarten through high school

We are looking for the following:  

1. Part-time Japanese High School Teacher  日本語の高校の先生

Requirements: 4-year college degree, native Japanese, and a license is preferred.  English is not required. 

Salary:  ¥2000 an hour

Time:  Flexible - 1 to 3 45 minute classes, 4 days a week, Monday through Friday.

2. Part-time English as a Second Language Teacher 

Requirements: a 4-year college degree and native or be very fluent in English. 

Salary:  Flexible, competitive hourly rates.

NLIS is looking for a future building!

We are growing out of our present buildings and our secondary students will need another building in the near future.  We are asking for help in finding a good place to purchase or rent for our junior high and high school students.  To help pay for this need, the students will have fundraisers, work in flea markets, and sell original t-shirts, but we need more help! Can you help us?  Please see below the specifics of the building needs.

Goals:

  1. Three or more rooms that are at least 18-20 tatami mats (36 square meters) for classrooms

  2. An extra 10-mat (or 16.5 square meters) room for Japanese classes and other support classes

  3. A 5 or 6-mat room for storage

  4. At least 3 separate toilet areas

  5. A kitchen

  6. Walking distance to a park or a large field for sports

  7. Preferably within a 25-minute walk from our school 

  8. At least 5 parking places, or a parking area close by

  9. A bicycle parking area

Capital is needed to purchase or rent the above.
