NLIS is working hard toward gaining accreditation through the Western Association of Schools and Colleges, WASC.

We are growing out of our present building and our secondary students need another building. We are asking for help to purchase or rent a building for our junior high and high school students. The students will have fundraisers, work in flea markets, and sell original t-shirts, but we need more help! Can you help us? We are accepting donations now. Please see below the specifics of the building needs.
Three or more rooms that are at least 18-20 tatami mats (36 square meters) for classrooms
An extra 10-mat (or 16.5 square meters) room for Japanese classes and other support classes
A 5 or 6-mat room for storage
At least 3 separate toilet areas
Walking distance to a park or a large field for sports
Preferably within a 25-minute walk from our school and walking distance from Kofu station
At least 5 parking places, or a parking area close by
A covered bicycle parking area
10. Grounds on the property would be amazing
Capital is needed to purchase or rent the above.

Part-time Teachers Wanted!
1. Kindergarten teacher - temporary full-time from April 2022 through July 2022.
Requirements: A hoikushi license is required. English is not required.
Salary: at least 150,000 a month depending on experience and skill.
Time: 9:00-3:00, Monday through Friday from April 6, 2022, through July 20, 2022. If English is spoken, another job could be permanent at the school.

2. Japanese High School Teacher
Requirements: 4-year college degree, native Japanese, and a license is preferred. English is not required. The teacher must be an active churchgoer.
Salary: ￥2000 an hour
Time: Between 9:00 to 12:15, Monday through Thursday.

3. English as a Second Language Teacher
Requirements: 4-year college degree, a native or very fluent English speaker, and an active Christian.
Salary: Depends on how many students are in each class. 4 students would be 3,200 for a 45-minute lesson.
Time: Flexible times 3:00 to 4:30 Mondays, Thursdays, and/or Fridays

4. Teacher assistant to help with classes, especially the 3/4 grade classroom. This position can start as soon as possible.
