Qualifications and Child Safeguarding Minimal Requirements

• All staff at NLIS are committed followers of Christ, in belief and practice. 

• All teaching staff have a love of their subject and of children.

• All teachers have a minimum of a bachelor's degree in an appropriate major

• All teachers have teacher certification from a government authority in the field they teach.

• All teachers have previous teaching experience in a school setting.

• All support staff have relevant qualifications and experience, which vary by position.

• NLIS places a high priority on safeguarding children, so all applicants must be prepared to undergo a full background check and to commit to all school policies regarding child safeguarding.

Current Positions 

 

At this time, there are no positions open, but we are growing and may need to hire an elementary teacher for grade 4 starting in the fall of 2026. If you are qualified (see above), please send a cover letter explaining how your faith informs your classroom teaching, a CV detailing all education and teaching experience, a photo, and reference contacts. You must be a native English speaker for this elementary teaching position.
