Early dismissal and Parent Interviews

Dear Parents,

Next week, three WASC members will visit our school to carefully review every aspect of New Life International School. It is a very detailed study. I received the final schedule today. It's packed! Two items concern the parents. Rest assured, we at NLIS have been working hard to prepare for this visit and are ready to showcase our school's excellence.

First, all teachers and staff will meet during the day every day, but there are two times when all teachers must attend, and no one can watch the classes. One is from 3:15 on Wednesday, and the other is from 3:00 on Friday. Therefore, we will have to dismiss early on those two days. The school will close at 3:00 on Wednesday and 2:45 on Friday. I apologize for the short notice.

There are many meetings every day all week next week, starting from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM.  One very important meeting is with parents. The WASC committee would like to ask you how you feel about our school. They have set a meeting time from  10:20 AM to 11:00 PM on Wednesday, February 26th. Erin Okuaki has graciously accepted my request to translate for non-English speakers so parents may feel free to speak in Japanese. Please join if you can. It will help the school. If you can come to school in person, that is wonderful, but you can also meet on Zoom.  Here is the link:
