July 20 Summer Party

July 13, 2023

Dear Parents:

It's hard to believe that summer vacation is almost here! NLIS has a traditional water party on the last day before the holiday. We rotate three areas for the games, the front parking area, the park, and the gym. On Thursday, July 20, the classes will do the following:

● Groups in the front parking lot will play water balloon games and eat ice pops.

● At the park, kindergarten through grade 2 will play with water guns in the park, while grades 3 through 11 will play with water relays in the park.

● In the gym, groups will take turns playing balloon relays.

The classes will be divided into five groups, K-1st, 2nd, 3rd-4th, 5th-6th, 7th-11th.

The children will get wet, so they may bring extra clothes to change. Teachers provide separate places for the boys and girls to change after the activities.

It's a fun, exhausting day celebrating school life, friends, and the beginning of summer!

Please remember that school on the July 20 is a half day. School closes at noon. Teachers have to get ready for summer school.

All students should bring a large bag to bring home summer work by the 20th (the 19th, to be safe). All students will have summer homework to bring home.

If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask your child's teacher.

Thank you!
