Dear Parents,

It is with deep regret that we inform you about a loss to our school community. This morning, February 5, Noriko Koller passed away from cancer at the Yamanashi Chuo Hospital.  Her loving family are left and will need support from us.  Gen is in 3rd grade and Rika is in 1st grade.  They are both very popular with the students and teachers at NLIS.  We won’t announce it to the students, but we will tell the 1st and 3rd grade classes tomorrow since they are most affected. 

I am available for any student or parent that needs to talk. 

We are saddened by the loss to our school community and will make every effort to help you and your child as you need.
