Hello!

Isn’t the weather gorgeous? The classes are enjoying getting outside every day. We are trying our best to take advantage of the warm sun.


News: Three new students joined this month! Two are in the kindergarten and one is in 3rd grade. We continue to grow and we continue to need another building. If you know of any large building available, please tell us.


We had an especially busy month in October. It was both exhausting and a lot of fun! We have more learning and fun for the rest of the year!


Here are the calendar events for November:


November 2, 16, 30 English Bible study for parents 2:15-3:00 (we meet upstairs in the cafeteria)

November 3 Off for Culture Day

November 4 NLIS Assembly All grades will meet for prayer, a bible verse reading, monthly news, and WASC training

November 4 Kindergarten inspection

November 8 WASC Training

November 9 NLIS Board Meeting

November 11 & 25 Library

November 14-18 easyCBM standardized testing

November 16 Teacher Meeting

November 23 Asahi Festival! Classes are off, but students are asked to volunteer to work on the NLIS booth, and families are asked to donate gently used items for this flea market.

November 28-Dec. 2 Food bank donation collection

December 16 Drama Workshop for grades 3-10

December 19 Christmas Program for parents and grandparents 2:00-3:00

Parking is limited so come early. The front and the side will be open for this event. Paid parking is available on and off of Asahi.

December 20 Classes meet only for half a day today until 12:00. Classes will have parties and open wrapped presents from each other. The wrapped presents should be from 300 to 500 yen only.
