Tuition Letter

Re: Tuition increase

Dear Parents,

We were very happy to receive the nonprofit corporation status for our school in 2020. We received many advantages through this status. A large advantage was that we did not have to pay consumer taxes for 2 years. Unfortunately, we will have to begin to pay a 10% consumer tax on all money received from 2022. We cannot pay the extra taxes without asking the parents to help. Therefore, we are asking the parents to share the burden with an increase in tuition of 5% from April 2022. The school will pay the other 5% of the taxes. Our basic tuition of ¥60,000 will become¥63,000 a month from April 2022. The sibling tuition will become¥47,250 a month from April 2022. NLIS is still one of the most economical international schools in Japan. We will continue to make every endeavor to keep our prices low.

Thank for your understanding and support.

Sincerely,

Suzy Brown
