WASC Accreditation News

February 23, 2022

Dear Parents,

I hope you are enjoying the day off today. It’s cold, but the sky is beautiful!

All the teachers, Aiko, and the board members met last night for the final WASC accreditation workshop. There were three in all. This one ended on a very good note. Alana Steward, the coordinator of WASC, said that we have grown greatly, and congratulated us on how well the stakeholders and teachers have taken up the collaboration process. She also said that they liked our Student Goal Outcomes very much. Now we have to finalize the NLIS school wide action plan this March and turn it in for the commission meeting in April. Alana said that we should hear the results from WASC in May. She said they will recommend us for candidacy. This is great news, and this puts us on the right track for our high school students. I am very pleased.

Thank you for all your help with NLIS. Parents are a huge part of any success that we have with the students. We love your children!

Warmest regards,

Suzy Brown, principal
