Welcome to 2024-25 School Year

Dear Parents,

The school year starts on Monday, April 8. The first three days are half-days, from 9 a.m. to 12 noon. The students will not eat lunch at school on these days. Please have your child at school between 8:30 and 9:00. Students should bring all their supplies, a snack, and a drink. 

NLIS will welcome twelve new students, most of whom will arrive in April; two families from Hungary and Taiwan will arrive in September.

We are all working hard to prepare for a successful school year. We painted the outside of the first floor of the smaller building, renovated the old upstairs room to be a pull-out room, bought new textbooks, books, science equipment, furniture, and many other items necessary for a great year, and made great lessons. The teachers are also working hard to continue to work tirelessly on the school's WASC accreditation. Whew!

April will be busy with learning. May brings three exciting events: Open House, Spiritual Emphasis Week, and a field trip for all grades! I will write more about those events as they approach. 

It's going to be a great year of learning and friendship!
